Prince of Wales Edward VIII founded RIMC, an all-boys residential school. At Garhi Cantt, Dehradun, the college campus occupies a plot of land that is roughly 138 acres large. The Indian Central Board of Secondary Education is associated with RIMC, an Inter Service Category “An” organisation (CBSE). RIMC is managed by the Army Training Command (ARTRAC), a division of the Ministry of Defense (MoD). Nowadays, there are 250 cadets enrolled in the college, and roughly 25 new cadets are admitted every six months. The Limca Book of World Records lists RIMC as the only institution in the nation to hold the class X and XII board exams twice a year, between the months of May and November. After graduating from college with their class of 12, the majority of cadets join the military. In addition to encouraging cadets to apply for CME & Technical entrance (CTW) and any other programs from which they can join the Defense Services, RIMC not only gives them the opportunity to pursue NDA and NAVAC.
