Sainik School Admission Procedure

ADMISSION

Doon Sainik School provides a high-quality balanced and self-designed educational program for admission to DSS. High academic achievement is our priority. The objective of the Sainik Schools is to prepare the students to lead as officers in the Defence Services of the country. The schools select smart and promising students through a national entrance examination and mold their personality in order for them to become leaders of the Nation. Doon Sainik School aims at providing quality education through optimizing intellectual and infrastructural resources, capacity building, practicing ethical and transparent management principles, and adhering to the core value system.

DSC aims to create a ‘community’ of well-rounded individuals, where a spirit of cooperation and mutual respect exists, among the students and teachers. The Coaching & School organizes many activities throughout the year where qualities such as leadership and self-discipline are inculcated and there is an emphasis on the student’s intellectual and emotional growth. DSC motivates the students to achieve their dreams to have wonderful Defence career prospects.

Admission Procedure

The Procedure is simple of DSC, a student has to clear a Common Entrance Test (Written Examination) which will be held in the first week of Feb/March/April/May (1st Week of 2020)

Required documents

The applicants are required to come ready with the following documents:

1. Date of Birth certificate.
2. Domicile certificate.
3. 10 recent passport size photographs.
4. One family photograph.
5. Duly filled admission form.
6. Transfer certificate from the last school attended.
7. Details of medical history and prescriptions if any.
