School Transport

The school is committed to establishing a safe and secure environment for the students, not only inside the school premises but also while commuting to and from the facilities of DSS. The school has its own fleet of comfortable buses equipped with the latest vehicle tracking system and closed-circuit camera. Each bus is manned by a trained driver and bus attendants (male & female), sensitized to the needs of small Cadets. The buses pick and drop cadets safely from their Academy to School & School to Academy. Parents/Guardians are expected to carry the escort card at all times during the pick-up and drop.

Our Best Homely Dining Hall:

Our Central Dining Hall is a modern, spacious, and airy building. It provides the boys and staff with the three main meals of the day, as well as BREAKFAST between 7 am to 8 am in the morning and LUNCH between 1:30 pm to 2 pm in the afternoon DINNER in the Night 8 pm to 9 pm. There is a Mess Committee where boys and staff meet the Catering Manager to provide feedback and make suggestions, including the range and content of the menus.

Our School Sports Facility :

All study and no play makes Jack a dull boy. The school lays stress on sports for the overall physical and mental development of all students. Sports activities like football, Swimming pool, handball, kho-kho, and badminton, and PT form an integral part of the school routine. Indoor sports facilities in our hostel consisting of carrom, chess, etc, also exist in the Classes. The school Kingston also has a well-maintained athletic track, football, volleyball, and basketball grounds. Cadets get a chance to participate in various Inter School, Inter Section, District Level Swimming Competition. The college has a full Olympic Size Swimming Pool, with a 10-meter Diving platform.

Guidance & Counselling

The School has full time Counsellors and a Special Residencial Educator to help the students and parents. All children want to get the most out of their courses and life at Academy & school, but there may be times when other concerns or problems interfere with that aim. Arrangements have been made to offer personalized counseling to children should they feel the need, as talking about issues at such times can often help identify and resolve matters before they become crises. This enables the students in making judicious selection suitable to their personal aptitudes in career opportunities.

Our School & Hostel Music School:

This is an excellent facility for a growing and dynamic department. The Music School is home to both Classical and Western music with Maninder Sir. Boys have access to Sharing music rooms, a music library, and a recital room. In celebration of its recent tenth anniversary, substantial investments were made in a wide range of instruments, both Indian and Western classical.

Our Wellness Centre in School:

The Wellness Centre is fully equipped with multiple beds, a full-time residential doctor, a full-time residential nurse and other medical support. The boys are encouraged to drop into the Wellness Centre to seek assistance as and when they need it. The Facilities of DSS is the Part of the overall approach to wellness is the counselling service for the boys provided by two school counsellors who teach the life skills curriculum based upon the Basic Manners programme. They also offer boys one-to-one counselling as and when it is needed. Comprehensive support is also offered to parents and staff in groups and in one-to-one sessions, as and when desired.
